Zanjan — Mehdi Bagheri, head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Office in Zanjan, said artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly important role in the province’s tourism sector and called for a structured plan to use it to enhance visitor experience, raise service efficiency and improve promotion.
According to Bagheri, AI can rapidly aggregate and analyze travel data, personalize itineraries to visitor interests, streamline trip planning and bookings, strengthen customer service, and enable precisely targeted marketing. He added that modern media tools and AI-powered platforms have already helped spotlight Zanjan’s historical and natural attractions—most notably the Soltaniyeh Dome.

Bagheri noted that the launch of the province’s first AI cloud platform will strengthen Zanjan’s digital infrastructure, enabling smarter trip planning and more precise hospitality services—further consolidating Zanjan’s position as a leading cultural and nature destination in Iran.
