Brief description: As the Olympiad’s founder and reigning champion, Iran will send a selected student team to INO 2026 focused on “Nanomedicine” with national selection details to be announced soon.
Iran, which founded the International Nano Olympiad (INO) and won its previous edition, will dispatch a national student team to the third INO, hosted by Taiwan from 12–18 December 2026 (21–27 Azar 1405).
According to the Taiwanese organizing secretariat, in coordination with the INO’s permanent secretariat, the 2026 theme is Nanomedicine. The technical tracks cover drug delivery and control at the nanoscale, nanosensors and diagnostics, nanomaterials in medical devices and tissue engineering, nanobio technologies for sustainable health, nanobiomimetics for biomedical uses, and the application of AI and big data in nanobio.
The permanent secretariat said the criteria and process for selecting Iran’s representatives will be released shortly. The event aims to showcase student achievements, strengthen international scientific cooperation, and expose participants to the latest research and applications in nanomedicine while fostering global networks and competitive research skills.
