Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz
Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz is considered one of the most valid universities under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and one of the first level universities in the country. According to the Times International Ranking in 2020, this university has been ranked among the top 40 universities in the world.
Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz is a public university established in 1332, which is one of the comprehensive universities of the country with 15 faculties. Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz is known as the “hub of water studies in Iran”. In the latest scientific and research evaluation of universities and research centers conducted by the Islamic World Science Citation center (ISC) in 2013-2015, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz was ranked 15th among the comprehensive universities of the country.

Academic calendar
According to the academic calendar of Iranian universities, usually the first half of the year starts from the beginning of October (Mehr) and the second half of the year starts from the second half of February (Bahman). But, the start of classes may be held a week earlier or later depending on the occasion and the academic calendar of the university. Also, one week is considered for study before the exams and one or two weeks for the gap between two semesters.
