General description of the university

University of Tabriz is one of the oldest universities in the country, which was established in 1326. This university is a public university affiliated to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. University of Tabriz is considered the second largest university in Iran and many volunteers are studying in this university. This university is the largest university in the country after Isfahan University of Technology. The area of ​​this university is about 600 hectares and there are many faculties in this university. This university gradually expanded. Tabriz University is the mother and helper of universities in the northwest of the country, and by establishing institutes in different cities and supporting them, it has taken a very important step in the expansion of higher education in the country, such as Mohaghegh Ardabili University, Maragheh University and the Bonab Higher Education Complex have branched out from this university and now Marand Technical College, Ahar Facualty of Agriculture, Miyaneh Technical & Engineering Faculty are engaged in educational activities under the supervision of this university. Tabriz University, after Tehran University, with 20 faculties, has the largest number of faculties and educational groups among Iranian universities, which places this university among the mother and comprehensive universities of Iran.
