Amirkabir University is located in Tehran and continues to operate as the first industrial institute of Iran. Amirkabir University of Technology is one of Iran’s top universities of technology, which ranks 90th in the field of computer science in the ranking of US news and world. Also, for the third year in a row, this university was introduced as the best university in Iran in the ranking system of Leiden University. Obtaining the title of scientific hub in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering and information technology, obtaining a distinguished rank in student and international Olympiads, having modern and well-equipped laboratories and carrying out national flagship projects, including the construction of the fastest Supercluster supercomputer and satellite design, construction and launch are among the achievements of this university. In the ranking of Times in 2018, it was secured the second place among Iranian universities and above Iran’s universities of science and technology, Sharif University of Technology and Khajeh Nasiruddin Tousi University of Technology. In the 2018 Shanghai Ranking, Amirkabir University of Technology ranked after the University of Tehran and was placed in the global ranking between 401-500. Also, in the 2019 National Taiwan University Ranking, it was positioned between 601-650 globally. This is while in the subject-specific and engineering rankings, Amirkabir University of Technology is ranked 132nd globally.
