Isfahan University of Medical Sciences
Isfahan University of Medical Sciences is one of the top universities of medical sciences in the country. This university has provided extensive laboratory, hospital, welfare and sports facilities for native and foreign students. This university is also one of the top 3 universities in Isfahan province, along with Isfahan University and Isfahan University of Technology, and in the Times ranking and in the impact ranking of universities in 2023, it has been ranked second among Iranian universities of medical sciences.
The university has privileges that include: Having capable, qualified and creative managers and technicians, having suitable centers for clinical training, having various fields and degrees, employing educated and efficient, young, committed and responsible human resources, research centers and dedicated equipment in the university and necessary facilities to conduct scientific research.
Degrees
Students are admitted to 12 faculties at the bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral levels.
Bachelor’s degree in 4 years, master’s degree in 2 years, doctorate in medicine in 7 years, doctorate in dentistry and pharmacy in 6 years, doctorate in other fields in 4 years. Residency and fellowship courses are presented in variable form between 2 and 4 years.
Academic calendar
This university has two admissions per year, in October (Mehr) is the first semester and in February (Bahman) is the second semester.
Regarding Language
Students must obtain a Persian language certificate before starting their studies at the university unless they specialize in general medicine.

Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services has ten faculties, which include: Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Paramedicine, Faculty of New Technologies, Faculty of Rehabilitation, Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, Faculty of Management and Information, Faculty of Health and Faculty of Pharmacy.
Welfare facilities
The facilities of Isfahan University can be divided into three categories: welfare, cultural and sports facilities. Isfahan University’s dormitories department is under the supervision of the vice president of student culture, which has been able to accommodate about 50 thousand students in its dormitories. The dormitory units for accommodation of male and female students have self-service facilities and student restaurants with subsidized prices. In order to balance between work and studies and sports activities, the Department of Physical Education of Isfahan University has considered educational and sports programs for students, such as performing public sports, sports competitions and etc.
